The following is a checklist of the required courses for the training sequence in Behavior Analysis at the undergraduate level at Southern Illinois University. This sequence has been approved by the Behavior Analyst Certification Board, and will make an individual eligible to take the Board Certification Associate's Behavior Analysis Exam (BCABA). The courses are presented in the sequence in which it is suggested you take them.

Students interested in applying for the Behavior Analysis and Therapy program at SIU have the option of enrolling in REHB 535 at the undergraduate or graduate level. If the course is completed for graduate credit and the student is later admitted to the BAT program, they need not complete the course a second time. However, permission to enroll in the course must be granted to enroll in a graduate course. If the course is taken at the graduate level, it will not count towards the completion of the undergraduate degree. Please see your academic advisor for the paperwork.

Internships will be conducted at area agencies under the supervision of one of seven faculty members with behavior analytic expertise. You will be matched to a particular faculty member and site for this experience. The internship is to be a total of 600 hours, with the hours spread across the fall and spring semesters (20 hours a week for both semesters).
